Cristobal Mondragon
Founder of Queen Bee Cleaning Services
Christopher “Chris” Mondragon’s Queen Bee Cleaning success story is an incredible example of resiliency and entrepreneurial spirit. After immigrating to the U.S. from Michoacan, Mexico, Chris worked in landscaping, food service, construction, and car sales.
In 2015, amidst personal and financial challenges, his wife, Sandra, who was working for someone else’s cleaning company at the time, convinced him they could do better for themselves if they formed their own cleaning business. They called it Queen Bee Cleaning Services (now rebranded to Bumble Bee Cleaning). Despite Chris’s initial skepticism, they forged ahead, driven by the dream of financial freedom and a better life for their family.
Unfortunately, they faced daunting obstacles as Queen Bee took off. They lacked industry experience and found themselves up against major legal issues. They also took losses on failed investments in a restaurant and grocery store and accumulated massive personal debt. But instead of giving up on Queen Bee, Chris educated himself, sought out mentorship, and got serious about strategic planning and the implementation of efficient systems. At the end of their first year, they’d earned nearly $200K.
Chris not only cleared the family’s debts but achieved remarkable success. Today, Queen Bee Cleaning Services generates over $1.5 million annually, and Chris is recognized as a leader in the industry. He’s passionate about his time with his family and the freedom he has to travel whenever he wants while his business is running itself.
