From $300 of epoxy to a nationwide restoration brand…

He grew up on job sites, learning the trades from his dad and grandpa.

But everything changed in 2014 when a city inspector told him he couldn’t replace a rotted window on a historic home.

He had to restore it.

That one rule sent Ty down the rabbit hole – into preservation codes, epoxy systems, and the kind of craftsmanship most contractors run from.

He launched Old Home Rescue with nothing but grit, curiosity, and a garage full of determination.

From there came Wood Window Rescue… an HGTV pilot… and eventually, Preservan.
